If ever there were an honest look into my thoughts, there are certainly moments in which I question the direction in which I am headed. Which direction? you may ask – the direction in this industry. The ever-present debate about Christians in the mainstream media is the struggle this song reveals. I have come to the conclusion that it is not impossible for me (a Christian) to be true to my relationship with God, create music with integrity, and still maintain a position in the mainstream media. History shows that God would often place key individuals directly in the public eye not only to lead the people, but also to serve. Moses and David are just a couple of great men who come to mind – their faith, obedience, and love for God was never compromised or weakened as they walked amongst the masses. And of course, we know that Jesus, Peter and Paul drew together huge crowds with the sole purpose of teaching them about the Kingdom. So I ain't mad at J for “sellin out the Garden in a day”, because I believe such achievements are within reach. Is it within my reach? That remains to be seen, but I carry on with faith and action…
